Victest Driving School (“we”, “us” or “our”) provides driving lessons and test preparation in Melbourne’s western suburbs. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit victestdrivingschool.com.au, contact us or book a service.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use our services, we may collect:

• Your name, phone number, email address and messages when you call, email or contact us through WhatsApp.
• Booking details, such as your preferred lesson time, pickup location, suburb, driving experience and test date.
• Information you choose to share about your learning needs, licence status or progress during lessons.
• Payment and transaction records. We do not ask you to send card details through an ordinary message.
• Website usage information, such as your IP address, browser, device, pages viewed and interactions with the site. Our website uses Google tags and a third-party Google review widget, which may use cookies or similar technologies.

Please avoid sending sensitive documents or information through WhatsApp or email unless we have asked for them and explained why they are needed.

How we collect and use information

We collect information directly from you when you contact us, arrange a lesson or attend training. Website tools may collect usage information automatically. We use information to answer enquiries; arrange, provide and manage lessons and test-day services; communicate about bookings and payments; improve our website and services; keep business records; and meet legal obligations.

We may contact you about a booking or respond to your enquiry. We will not use your contact details for unrelated marketing unless permitted by law or you have agreed. You can ask us to stop marketing messages at any time.

Who may receive information

We may share information when reasonably needed with our instructor or staff, website hosting and analytics providers, communications providers such as WhatsApp, payment or accounting providers, and professional advisers. We may also disclose information if required by law or with your consent.

Our website displays reviews using Trustindex and contains links to third-party services. Those providers handle information under their own privacy policies. If you use WhatsApp, its privacy terms also apply to your use of that service.

These terms apply to driving lessons, test preparation and test-day vehicle services supplied by Victest Driving School (“we”, “us” or “our”). Please read them before confirming a booking. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Bookings and availability

A booking is confirmed when we agree on the service, date, time, pickup location and price. An enquiry or request for a time is not a confirmed booking. Lessons and test-day vehicle use are subject to instructor and vehicle availability. Please tell us your suburb, current driving experience and any booked VicRoads test details when arranging a session.

Prices and payment

Prices displayed on our website are in Australian dollars. We will tell you the total price, including any applicable distance-related charge or unavoidable fee, before you confirm a booking. The confirmed price for a booking will not be changed without your agreement, except where a change to the service is requested and a revised price is agreed. We will tell you when and how payment is due when you book.

A test-day package covers only the items stated in the confirmed booking. VicRoads charges, including a test booking fee, are separate unless we expressly say they are included. If you are unsure what is included, ask us before confirming.

Cancellations and rescheduling

Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel or change a lesson. Before publishing, insert your actual cancellation notice period and any fee here. Tell customers the same policy before they confirm a booking. Any fee must be clearly disclosed and consistent with applicable law.

If we need to cancel or change a booking because the instructor or vehicle is unavailable, we will offer a suitable new time or refund any amount paid for the service we cannot provide. If VicRoads changes or cancels your test, contact us promptly so we can discuss the available options for the instructor vehicle and any warm-up lesson.

Learner responsibilities and safety

You must be legally permitted to drive for the lesson or test and comply with applicable road rules and licence conditions. Tell us before a session about any condition or circumstance that could affect your ability to drive safely. Please arrive on time and follow reasonable safety instructions from the instructor.

We may pause or end a session if continuing would be unsafe or unlawful. We will discuss any charge for a session that cannot continue in light of the circumstances and your rights under applicable law. Tell us about any required support or accessibility needs when booking so we can discuss whether we can accommodate them.

Lessons, test preparation and results

Lessons are tailored to your experience and goals, but progress varies. Practice on or around roads used for tests does not mean a particular route will be used in your assessment. VicRoads conducts and decides the result of the practical driving test. We cannot guarantee that you will pass or obtain a licence.

Not passing a test, by itself, does not mean a completed lesson or properly supplied test-day service will be refunded. This does not affect your rights if a service fails to meet a consumer guarantee or another legal requirement.

Pickup, timing and test-day vehicle

Pickup and drop-off are available where agreed as part of your booking and may depend on distance and schedule. If you arrive late, the lesson may still need to end at the agreed time; we will discuss what is practical. Test-day vehicle use depends on the vehicle being available, roadworthy and suitable for the assessment. Tell us promptly if your test date, time or location changes.

Consumer guarantees and concerns

Our services come with guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law, including that they will be provided with due care and skill. If you believe there is a problem with a service, contact us so we can review it and provide any remedy required by law. These terms do not exclude, restrict or modify any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Website information and third-party links

We try to keep website details accurate, but lesson availability and service details can change. Confirm the current details with us before booking. Links to external websites, including VicRoads and WhatsApp, are provided for convenience; those services have their own terms and privacy practices.
